I have a solid academic and professional background in Fire Risk Management and Fire Engineered Solutions, through qualification at the Fire Service College (Moreton-in-Marsh) and 32 years as a Senior Officer in Fire and Rescue Services, rising to the rank of Commander and as an instructor/tutor in the Fire Safety School delivering courses in Fire Safety, British Standards and Building Regulations to Fire Officers and commercial fire risk managers.
My level of knowledge of ‘pure’ fire safety, engineered solutions and risk-based strategies is such that I am able to develop and assist designated “Responsible persons”, Architects, Surveys and Building Designers in the commercial sector with safety strategies and solutions which are based on a comparator of applied risk against outcome requirements and cost factors.
I also have extensive experience and knowledge in carrying out fire safety risk assessments and delivering fire strategies and fire risk management solutions for the commercial, retail, care and social supported housing sector for a wide range of organisations, industry leading associations and high profile buildings including local authorities, City banking organisations, Wembley Stadium, Emirates Stadium, Tower 42, the Shard and the New London Stock Exchange.
